konami's being a dick

at first i totally agreed with konami on the lawsuit against roxor, they were in fact distributing a product designed specifically to overtake konami's product while continuing to use konami's patented hardware (the actual dance cabinet) makes a lot of sense that they would be mad, however they are attempting to avoid this by making their own cabinets now, however they still offer itg2 upgrade kits, two separate kinds one for itg to itg2, and one for "your old dancing game" to itg2. which is still blatently ripping off konami, however konami has recently amended their lawsuit to include some ludicrous requests and claims.

claim 49. at the bottom, who are they to judge the quality of a product which i doubt anyone in a suit over at konami has ever played, especially considering to do so they would need ot be in america and their corporation is based in japan.

claim 78. and 85. serve the same purpose, how can they possibly want to sue these companies for amking a game that is similar to theirs... how many fucking side scrollers does konami make, that yes other companies make, how many overdramatic, overcinematic, craptastic rpg games with the same basic plot and same gameplay are there that yes are made by differewnt companies. and of course who can ignore the fact that half of all video games made are stupid redone year after year sport games across all platforms by hundreds of companies, what would it be like if they complained that another game used a similar idea to theirs.

also the requests which konami has made are staggering

basically they are rquesting all money that roxor has ever made since as far as i know this is their only product. and it goes on to make the same requests for all profits made off dancecraze for gc and itg for ps2. as well as additional damages for blah blah blah. in addition to said requests they want roxor to gather up any and specifically all, circulars, ad's etc.... all headers, stickers, decals, in short all the itg and itg2 machines in the country and process them for destruction unless they also retain some konami affiliated logo/insignia then they are to make an example of said hardware to the court and konami will pretty much procure the machine. no matter how much money roxor could possibly have to spend, which they don't, they could gather very few of these machines as many arcade owners make way too much money off of them. so many machines would go into hiding for a while in small private arcades, but they can't really get rid of it so why is konami even trying. i'd wager that basically they are pissed that they've been outdone, they dropped the ball, it's been nearly two years since the release of ddr extreme which was insanely popular people waited and waited for news on a new mix, which never came so a few decided fuck waiting we'll make our own, and it will roxor, hey we could call ourselves that. and rather than try and simply make a better product than roxor they attempt to use their huge corporation power and money to snuff out the new guy in an attempt ot create a monopoly which is also illegal. they have the money and the manpower to churn out a new mix that would destroy itg2 all they need to realise is that they need better songs and harder steps, a lot of their songs are good yes, but they are desparately lacking variety. and people complain about corporate america...

ps. yes i read the entire lawsuit, a whole lot of repititious claims and sentences starting with "on information and belief" so unneccesary
